The amount of severance pay to which a divorced spouse is entitled

When a divorce becomes final (i.e., when the relevant court ruling can no longer be challenged) the less financially independent former spouse will, provided that he/she has been awarded maintenance, also be entitled to 40% of any sums received by the other spouse in the form of severance pay after the pronouncement of their legal separation, in an amount calculated pro rata to the number of years the latter was employed in that job during the marriage (the years during which the couple were separated are included in that calculation).
